The Mat 2.0 is a professional people-flow counting system developed by Intechfloor SA. It is based on connected mats incorporating pressure sensors, capable of detecting and recording passages in real time. The solution is designed for professionals in the events industry, security, and management of spaces open to the public.
A complete Mat 2.0 system consists of the following elements:• one or more counting mats (Mat, model M2M10) — from 1 to 10 mats per installation;• a communication gateway (Gateway, model M2G10) — the central electronic unit that collects and transmits data;• a Mat2Gateway connection cable (3 m) linking the mats to the Gateway;• a power supply cable for the Gateway;• an extension cable (5 m) for configurations requiring a greater distance between the mats and the Gateway.Access to the Technis Counting monitoring application is included in the annual counting service subscription.
The Mat 2.0 delivers several tangible benefits: real-time footfall tracking, occupancy threshold control, anticipation of overcrowding situations, decision support for security managers, and generation of reliable data for flow analysis. It directly contributes to securing spaces and optimising public reception.
Unlike video or infrared counting systems, the Mat 2.0 relies exclusively on pressure sensors. This technology offers three key differentiating advantages:• no image capture or biometric data processing — full GDPR compliance guaranteed from design (privacy by design);• independence from lighting or environmental conditions, unlike cameras or infrared barriers;• discreet, natural floor-level integration with no visible equipment and no inconvenience to users.
The Mat 2.0 is addressed exclusively to professional customers (B2B). Typical users include: festival, trade show, conference and sporting event organisers, cultural venue managers, security managers of establishments open to the public, stadium and arena operators, as well as crowd management and access control service providers.
Yes. The solution is designed for both types of configuration. For one-off events, the system can be deployed and dismantled quickly. For permanent installations, it can be durably integrated into the reception infrastructure, provided the sub-floor is suitable in accordance with Intechfloor's technical recommendations.
Yes, provided that only Intechfloor-approved accessories for outdoor use are used. Any outdoor installation without these specific accessories is not covered by the warranty.
